FROM THIS TO THIS

It’s interesting to see how things are made.  For example, how a flat, eyebrow-shaped piece of stainless steel can become a circular shape, similar to a dish.  In the hands of an experienced craftsman using the appropriate tools and equipment, it can be done in a matter of minutes.  craft

In the collage, top left corner, the eyebrow-shaped material is shown next to a “completed” 12” ID (inside diameter) alcove.  The white surface is a protective “paper” covering that will be removed later, revealing the polished material beneath.  The machine operator uses rolls (shown top right in collage), pressure and skill to shape the stainless material to their will.

The bottom photos show finished alcoves after being installed in jacketed tanks.
