NOT A TOOTHY GRIN

This may look like an emoji’s big toothy grin but it’s actually a stainless steel grate that is used to prevent foreign objects, including people, from falling into the tank when the hinged lid is open.  A simple grate can save a whole lot of time and money while keeping the operator safe.

Grate designs vary to suit customer requirements. They can be anything from vertical bars as shown in the photo to a pattern of small squares.  Grates can be adapted and used on open top tanks, vessels with hinged lids and even certain types of manways.
