WE'RE THE ONE TO CALL WHEN IT'S TOO BIG TO HAUL

This cartoony ad is from our early days, but the message still rings true – Stainless Fabrication Inc. builds tanks on-site at customer facilities.  In fact, it’s how we got our start back in 1985 and we're still doing it today...  We build stainless steel tanks in the field and in our Springfield Missouri facility.

The most common reason tanks are field-erected is that they are simply too large to build in our shop.  Depending on dimensions, weight and other factors, 35,000 gallons is about the largest tank that can be shop fabricated and shipped by truck.  SFI builds tanks at customer facilities that are 10 times that size, up to 750,000 gallons.

Large size isn’t the only reason tanks are built on-site.  We also build much smaller tanks in the field when cranes can’t be used to set them in place, such as inside a building where there is limited access or minimal clearance.  SFI field crews have the experience and flexibility to construct tanks in places where others can’t.
