CORROSION RESISTANCE

Many companies choose stainless steel for their processing equipment because of its smooth and attractive appearance, its durability and corrosion resistant characteristics.

Industries that make products for human or animal consumption need equipment that can be easily and effectively sanitized, making stainless steel a common preference.  It can be finished by polishing, electropolishing and/or passivation to provide the best possible surface for cleaning and corrosion resistance.

While stainless steel is corrosion resistant by nature, it is important to remember that it can corrode when conditions are favorable, but with proper treatment, the surface can be restored.
