FIT-UP BEFORE SHIPMENT

The photo on the left shows a 17,000 gallon stainless steel tank in our shop that is nearly ready to ship.  By design, to gain access to the top manway and fittings, the tank is outfitted with a ladder and handrail around the top.    

One of the last things we do before shipment is “fit-up” components such as the ladders, platforms and handrails.  Those components will be installed on the tank to ensure they fit properly and once complete, they are often removed and shipped loose for re-installation in the field.

The photo on the right shows the same tank, having arrived on site.  The ladder and handrail will be installed after the tank is lifted into its vertical position, set in place and anchored.
