We live in a time of automation and many jobs and processes are being performed by computers, machines and robots. In tank fabrication, much of the work is still done by hand and experienced craftsmen are a “must” to produce a high quality end product.  In a tank shop, you will find a multitude jobs and processes, such as:

  • Delivery drivers, DOT certified
  • Electropolish finishing and passivation, fixture building, water treatment
  • Engineering, CAD design, layout
  • Forklift drivers, warehouse workers, crate builders
  • Grinding, polishing
  • Head forming and flanging
  • Layout, fit-up, and assembly
  • Machining, CNC and manual (lathes, mills)
  • Material handling/heavy lifting, bridge cranes, mobile crane, CAT Telehandlers
  • NC programming
  • Non-destructive testing
  • Office workers, computer skills, business machines
  • Quality control inspection and documentation
  • Roll and brake forming
  • Sandblast
  • Shearing, plasma cutting, waterjet cutting, saw (bars, pipes, tubes, etc.)
  • Welding (MIG, TIG)

Most of these jobs/processes require training, practice and skill to do the jobs well.
